Montezuma Castle Land Exchange PAD

Payson, Arizona

The Cleland Group assisted the Verde Engineering Group in the development of the PAD for this160 acre development in the Town of Payson, Arizona. The subject site is heavily vegetated with the pinion-juniper biotic community including a variety of oaks, shrubs, and grasses.  The site is primarily gently sloping to steep hillsides with occasional granite rock outcroppings.  Services include:

• Landscape character evaluation for environmentally sensitive areas and native plant material zones.
• Development of a Natural Area Open Space (NAOS) and Public Open Space (O/S) Plan illustrating the protected environmentally sensitive areas and trails.
• Trail and drainage-way landscape character design
• Slope and hillside erosion mitigation and aesthetic treatment
• Public open space and park landscape design
